Hailing from Tokyo, COVEN JAPAN have been forging their own path through the steel realms of heavy metal since the mid-2010s. Drawing inspiration from the dark spirit of classic NWOBHM, traditional '80s metal and the occult grandeur of bands like Angel Witch, Satan and Mercyful Fate, the band blends these influences with unmistakable Japanese melodies and cultural identity.

Their music stands apart through a unique fusion of Western heavy metal tradition and Japanese songwriting sensibilities, delivered in both Japanese and English. This dual-language approach reflects the band's mission to create and spread a distinctly Japanese vision of traditional heavy metal.

"Promised Land" marks the band's sophomore full-length release, following the acclaimed "Earthlings" album from 2023. Prior to that, COVEN JAPAN introduced their sound with "The Advert" EP in 2017. With "Promised Land", the Tokyo-based warriors continue their quest, carrying the flame of classic metal into new territories while remaining firmly rooted in their own identity.
